We had such a wonderful time on St. Simon’s Island with Lauren and Adam. We began with photos of the bride and groom them getting ready then they took several family portraits. After their garden ceremony at the Sea Palms Resort Gazebo, we then took additional family photos and portraits of the couple alone. The group then headed inside for cocktail hour, dinner, toasts and wedding cake. Everyone had a fantastic time celebrating late into the night. Guests enjoyed music, dancing and and a cigar bar followed by a sparkler send off. Lauren and Adam are so perfect together! Congratulations to this very beautiful couple! About Us: Adam and I met during work. I was traveling (my occupation is in sales for military connectors) and he was working (he’s a C-130 Aircraft Electrician). I was conducting training at the Warner Robins Air Force Base for the machinery we sell and he was attending the training. We began talking after the session he asked if we could go out the next time I was in town. At the time I was living in Charlotte, NC and he was in Warner Robins, GA. We talked for about a month and met in Atlanta for a weekend to see each other. From that weekend, we saw each other as much as we could and here we are today (3 years later). Adam is from Warner Robins, and I’m originally from Pennsylvania. I moved down to Warner Robins right after we got engaged (1.5 years) and had 1.5 years engagement. We love doing things together, and actually do almost everything together. We both enjoy staying active and he is very into mixed martial arts-Jiu Jitsu. How did you select Sea Palms as your Ceremony and Reception location? We had no idea where to do our wedding. For us, it was the hardest decision to make. My family lives in PA and Adam’s family lives in GA. We discovered Sea Palms at a wedding show in Savannah. A few weeks later, we toured Sea Palms Resort and fell in love with St. Simon Island and the atmosphere of the resort. What are some of your favorite local places in St. Simons that you recommend to others? The downtown area near the pier and lighthouse is great! There’s shopping and places to eat and drink. We love renting bikes and riding all over the island. Where did you get the inspiration/ideas for the details? All my ideas and inspiration came from Pinterest, it gave me ideas for decorating. My friends and family also helped me along the way, as most of my friends/sister are all married, so it helped out alot. I love the bashful pink and grey look. And I thought it would go great with the environment at the Sea Palms. Since we were having our ceremony outside, I wanted a color that wouldn’t be too distracting so I selected soft tones that would also look good on our wedding party. Do you have any advice to other couples who are in the process of planning their wedding? My advice to other couples, is to take your time, don’t rush and have fun with it!
